Threads of our Ancestors – Jo Hardy
“My ancestors are calling, my ancestors are calling.
They call to remind me who I am,
they call to remind me what I should be.”— Qiniso Mogale
When we stand in our lineage with love and honesty, our ancestors draw close.
In Threads of our Ancestors, we will immerse ourselves into a conscious dance journey that awakens this living connection: embracing the gifts and wisdom of our lineages and bringing movement and care to what still waits to be digested.
There’s a rhythm underneath everything, and the dance floor is where we find it. We will ground deeply in the body, enliven our awake-ness, and from this resourced ground we will dance what needs to be re-membered, reclaimed, released, forgiven, celebrated, …, …, …
When we go deep together, the field between us grows richer and more present, and we begin to become what we are here to be: good ancestors, dancing new seeds into the next generations.
Jo Hardy (UK) has been working with body psychotherapy and conscious dance for over 30 years around the world, in a very impactful and transformative way. She has been coming to Portugal for 3 years and is teaching an embodiment facilitation training here next year. This extended weekend workshop is a great opportunity to spend 4 days with her doing a very intimate and powerful work.
