Sexy Imperfections 2 – A Performing Arts Workshop on Embracing Vulnerability & Playfulness

Who would you be if cultural scripts, gender roles, relationship formats, and internalised judgment fell away?

This retreat asks: What happens when the shell begins to crack? Are you ready to shake your own norms, to meet the edges of your relationship with sexuality?

We call you out to dare and play, while gently embracing your failures with a compassionate smile and great company.

Let us play.
Let us try on faces, voices, movements that once seemed too big, too foolish, or too much.
Let us play to grow—and to fail.
To be seen in the trembling joy of discovering new, yet so old, selves.

Join us for the second edition of Sexy Imperfections: a 4-day residential workshop blending theatre, clowning, burlesque, dance, and intimate somatic practices. The theme of this edition is: Out of the Box, Into the Body.

This immersive experience invites you to explore sexuality, pleasure, and imperfection through creative, embodied practice. Whether you’re an experienced performer, a shy strawberry, or an unapologetic weirdo, there’s space here for your expression.

We’ll work together to:

 – Recognise fears and flaws as rich creative material
– Investigate desire with care, curiosity, and creativity
– Gather tools to inspire new performance work and deepen your presence—on stage and in life

At the end of the retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to share a short cabaret act, shaped through your experience and supported by the group.

More information about the facilitators & practices:

Justi Tutti Gusti is an educator, community artist, and performer with a BA in Fine Arts and a Master’s in Adult Education for Social Change. With over a decade of experience in community arts, in her creative work, she draws inspiration from burlesque, clowning, butoh, ballroom culture, theatre improvisation, and the work of Bill Plotkin.

Her methodology, Burlesco Wacko, has been presented at gatherings and festivals in Germany, Cyprus, and Portugal. It invites participants to explore seductive self-expression through playful dance, theatre, and performance.

In a daring space where weirdness and failure are celebrated, you are invited to discover your “seductive wacko”. By exploring the performative nature of sexuality, we will delve into our (un)conscious desires and fears, unlocking new possibilities for artistic inspiration. By shedding the skin of learned habits, we can witness each other in an utterly silly, yet deeply meaningful, creative process.

Riccardo Russomanno: With over 11 years in the creative industry, Riccardo combines art direction and visual arts with the playful spontaneity of clowning. His work focuses on reconnecting people with their innate creativity, inviting them to embrace the joy of artistic expression. From street performances to animated collages, he explores the beauty of imperfection and the magic of collective creation.

Have you ever wanted to connect more deeply with yourself, transforming flaws and vulnerabilities into powerful resources? The clown offers a unique perspective—a non-conventional master who shows us how to live life as a comedy, filled with authenticity and joy.

In his workshop, participants will explore through the clown’s methodology, how to access a state of creative presence. By resourcing from the emotional body the participants will learn the magic power of failures as tools for growth. The clown’s honesty in expressing feelings transforms difficulties into opportunities, turning life into a joyful performance.

Daniella Kassif: With a background in contemporary dance and choreography, Daniella is a facilitator of Contact Improvisation Dance, and as a performer, her practice focuses on the art of improvisation. In recent years, she has explored the field of intimacy and sexuality through various programs, and in September 2025, she will qualify as a SOMA Intimacy practitioner, following an intensive 2-year training. Daniella is driven by a passion for freedom, love, and authentic expression with others.

In her sessions, Daniella will invite participants to explore the essence of embodied self-love and the potency of witnessing others in this act, tapping into another level of presence and performativity. Moreover, she will open a space for relating with others in new, playful and authentic ways, based on touch and the investigation of consent.
