By learning the basic technical tools you will find an easy and smooth way to navigate through jams and find your very own joyful way on the dance floor.\nWelcome to your favourite playground!\nContribution for the class: €10-15\n \nOur regular Arrábida Contact Improvisation Jam starts right after the class:\n-> Every Thursday 19:30- 21:00 h\n-> Contribution: €10-15\nWe start the jam with a guided warm up / mini workshop leading into the open jam.\n \nOur weekly Contact Improvisation class is run by our best in-house teachers:\nCHRIS:\nPassionate about moving in different ways Chris came across Contact Improvisation in 2015, finding himself flabbergasted by this both vitalizing and subtle fusion of movement, dance, improvisation and somatic exploration. Lately he has found special interest in CI as a social and political practice beyond its performative, aesthetical, physical and somatic significance.  \nHe has been an active member of the CI community in Dresden, Germany, as teacher,  co-organizer and spaceholder, before investing his energy in SerVivo where he teaches and finds bliss and fulfillment as baker and gardener of the community.\nIRENE:\nIrene uses Contact Improvisation as her main practice to touch the present and embrace the unknown. With a background in Catalan folk dances, she later embraced Contact Improvisation, looking for more creativity and freedom. She has been deeply inspired by Towards, An Open Institute of Embodied Arts and Transformative Learning in Thailand, where she spent three years. Irene is more drawn to the spirit of the practice than to its form and explores how to open the space for dance to unfold, creating a state of readiness that can meet the constant change and transformation of life, and developing an awareness to expand beyond the walls.\nJO:\nSince 2001 Jo Bruhn dedicated his life to performing arts in various facets. In 2007, delicate encounters with Contact Improvisation began. Over time he focused often on the technical and compositional aspects of this rich dance form, attending advanced training, festivals and workshops, as well as a Contemporary Dance education at Tanzfabrik Berlin.\nThe intensive work with Nancy Stark Smith amongst many others ultimately gave him the foundation to teach, explore and to integrate CI into his dance performances. For almost 10 years he teaches all over Europe following his passion to bring CI to people.\n

Even if you didn’t participate in the first part, you are welcome to join the second one.\nWhat is Wùo Taï?\nWùo Taï is a branch of Osteopathy. The person who coined this name, Roland Combes, is a passionate osteopath with several years of clinical experience who found that the practice of classical osteopathy lacked beauty and, inspired by both Asian trends in Body Therapy and Dance, lowered Osteopathy to the futon to be able to Dance with the bodies in a Tango of Mutual Healing. This is how the “Dance of the Fascias” or “Osteo-Dance” was born during the turn of the millennium.\nAfter meeting Nathalie, his wife, from the alchemy of their skills, they modeled this creation in a Contemporary practice that is based on 64 main Gestures, inspired by the 64 Hexagrams of the I Ching, combining Philosophy, Anatomy, Embryology, and Physiology of the body in service of Life.\nTo practice Wùo Taï is to Receive what we Give, it is to live the Beauty of the Danced Elliptical Gesture, leaving aside reasoning and thought. We trust that intuitively our corporality finds harmony between our bodies, our hearts, and our spirits. Between the space that unites everything.\nSince the year 2000 Roland, together with his wife Nathalie, they travel all over the world, as of today they have been in 17 countries, sharing this Art where we turn our backs on everything we know, we believe, and we think.\nWhat will we learn?\nThe Articular Module is the starting point of the Wuo Tai journey. DESCRIPTION:Move Through is back in SerVivo !\nMove through sessions – Dance and creative expression\nWelcome back to Move through sessions in 2026, this year as a workshop format of 2-hour sessions that will include the regular Move through dance session, followed by 1h of creative exploration.\nThis season the workshop will be hosted every second Wednesday of the month, from 19 – 21h\nOpen level, no previous dance background necessary!\nAbout the sessions:\nMove through dance sessions are a blend of practices in Gaga movement language, contemporary dance and a hint of qigong. The aim is to open up the layers of the body, getting the flow going and connect to the space and each other.
