DESCRIPTION:This class, guided by Marion, is conceived as a training space, a regular practice to develop mobility, body awareness, movement skills, and physical possibilities through dance.\nIt is an invitation to investigate, explore, and learn about our body and the way it moves.\nThrough somatic practices, we will explore ways to expand our body awareness, deepen our sensitivity, and develop a greater ability to listen.\nContemporary dance techniques will be practiced to broaden our movement vocabulary and discover new possibilities for movement, expression, and moving safely.\nAnd above all, we will enjoy moving together, with a sense of togetherness, connection, and collective experience.\nThe practice will include:\n\nContemporary dance technique\nSoft acrobatics\nFloorwork\nBiomechanics\nMovement research\nInstant composition\nGuided improvisation\n\nNo dance background is required. She has spent the past ten years practicing, researching, and training in movement disciplines including contemporary and traditional African dances, yoga, capoeira, qi gong, and Contact Improvisation.\nShe has been facilitating regular dance classes and workshops, mostly in Barcelona, using biomechanics, somatics, and Contact Improvisation as her main tools to explore, expand, and understand the body’s mobility, on its own, in space, and with others.\nIn 2025, she created a solo dance project called La Fuite [GA], which she performed for the first time in November 2025 at the Casino of La Floresta, Barcelona.\nHer affinity for movement, somatic practices, and touch has led her to become a massage therapist. She is currently focusing on soft Thai massage, exploring how the capacity to listen to and attune to another body can be translated into therapeutic bodywork.\nInstagram: @marion.wemove\n\n
